“How do you find these deals so cheap?!”

It’s the question I get asked every time I go away. Truthfully, I just can’t justify spending big money on holidays. So I search, compare, search some more… and then compare again, until I’ve found the best possible deal that fits within my (very) tight budget.

It’s crazy to think that I’ve explored 26 countries! Since then, I’ve travelled solo, with friends, family, and now with my children. Along the way, I’ve learned how to make trips more affordable and stress free. Finding great deals has genuinely become one of my favourite things.

When travelling, I’ve met people on tropical islands who say how lucky I am to be from the UK. At first, I couldn’t understand it. They live surrounded by beautiful beaches, fresh fish and fruit trees. But over time (especially as I’ve got older and my fear of flying has grown), I’ve realised why… having Europe on our doorstep is something we often take for granted. We can reach completely different countries and cultures in just a couple of hours, whether by plane, train, or even car.

Travel has also introduced me to incredible people. I’ve met Islanders who have never been on a train, let alone a plane, and others who have become lifelong friends across the world. I’ve been lucky enough to visit them in their home countries and watch their families grow over the years, which has made my experiences feel even more personal and meaningful.

For me, travel has never just been about ticking places off a list. It’s about the moments and memories along the way. I learned to swim at 22 so I could swim with wild dolphins and sea lions in the Pacific Ocean, jumped 14,000ft out of a plane in Australia and taken on a 60 metre free-fall canyon swing in New Zealand. I’ve travelled hours out of my way just to visit a food truck I saw on TV, carried live lobsters on a New York subway, slept in a McDonald’s when everything else was closed after earthquakes, and even slept in an airport overnight to save £100 during Chinese New Year.

Sure, not every moment has been glamorous, in fact, I don’t think any of mine are! But those are the ones you remember the most. And honestly, those experiences really restore your faith in humanity.

So, this site brings everything together in one place. I share handpicked travel deals and practical tips to help you get from A to B without overspending. I search across a range of UK airports, not just London, and I’m always happy to hear where you’re based so I can try to tailor deals that work for you too.

Alongside this, my blog is where I share the stories behind the trips. Real experiences, honest tips and ideas to inspire your next getaway. From spontaneous airport runs to unforgettable adventures, everything is based on genuine moments. I aim to use all of my own photos, so some may not be perfect (a fair few go back to 2013!), but it’s important to me that what you see reflects real travel rather than stock images and filters.

Oh, and I’m a foodie at heart, with plans to travel to Japan soon with my two children. I’ll be documenting every cost along the way as I challenge myself to get the most for the least amount of money. You can see what a trip really looks like without needing to guess.

A quick note about me: I’m just starting out. Right now, I don’t earn anything from this site or affiliate links. This is a passion project, built on a genuine love of travel and a desire to make it feel easier and more accessible for everyone.

No catches, no hidden tricks. Just practical advice, real experiences, and the best deals I can find for you.
