Hi, I’m Nikki, a mum of two with a serious travel bug 🌍
It’s crazy to think I didn’t step on a plane until I was 16, and now I’ve explored 26 countries. In that time I’ve travelled solo, with friends, with family, and now with my children. Along the way I’ve learned how to make every trip affordable, easy and stress free. Finding deals is one of my favourite things, and I just can’t justify paying crazy money for a bit of sun.
When travelling, I’ve met people on tropical islands who say how jealous they are that I’m from the UK. At first I couldn’t understand it, they live on the most beautiful islands with avocado and mango trees in their gardens, but over time, especially as I get older and my fear of flying grew, I started to see why. Even though the weather is nothing to write home about most of the time, having Europe on our doorstep is such a blessing. We are so lucky to be able to drive, take a train, or fly to completely different countries in just a couple of hours.
While travelling, I’ve met people who had never been on a train, let alone a plane. Along the way I’ve made incredible friends across the world, and I’ve even been lucky enough to visit them in their home countries, watching their families grow over the years. It’s made my travels feel so much more
personal and meaningful.
Travel for me has never just been about ticking places off a list. I learned how to swim at 22 so I could swim with wild dolphins and sealions in the Pacific Ocean, I’ve jumped out of a plane, done a canyon swing, and crossed time zones where I’ve lost an entire day! I’ve travelled hours out of my way just to visit a food truck I saw on TV, carried live lobsters on a New York subway, slept in a McDonalds in New Zealand when everywhere else was closed after the earthquakes, and even slept in an airport to save £100 on a hotel over Chinese New Year. Not every moment has been glamorous, but those are often the stories that make travel unforgettable.
On this site I share handpicked travel deals, easy guides and clever tips to help you get from A to B without overspending. I search across a range of UK airports, not just London, and I’m always happy to hear where you are based so I can try to tailor deals that work for you too. My goal is to make travel simple and accessible for everyone.
I also share blogs filled with real travel experiences, honest tips and inspiration. From spontaneous airport runs to unforgettable adventures, everything is based on real trips and real moments, with ideas to help you save money while still enjoying a touch of luxury. I aim to use my own photos wherever possible, so please forgive me if the quality is not always perfect, some go back to 2013, but it is important to me that what you see reflects genuine
experiences rather than stock images.
